07 September 2019Explosion in a three-story building in Tor Lupara, just outside Rome, around 2.00pm. It happened in Via Giovanni Verga, at number 17. Firefighters turned off the fire and are proceeding to take away the material involved in the explosion. According to reports from the fire brigade, at the time a burned person was transported by air ambulance to the hospital, but the operations are still ongoing. The explosion may have been caused by a gas leak.

The police station Mentana and company of Monterotondo investigating the incident are on site. With them a state police patrol. The fear is that there are other people under the rubble.
