- We think it is an important and responsible decision. After all, we have been tormented by not knowing more than a year in advance and now we have been particularly tormented by not knowing what the autumn budget will look like. It is a great relief, says Jenny Westerstrand, chairman of Roks.

Roks hopes that the supplement will make more people feel that they dare and can start an on-call, as there are no girl and woman calls in many places.

"Great relief"

- The Center Party has pushed through that basic funding should remain for the remainder of the term of office, says party leader Annie Lööf.

In the spring budget for 2019, SEK 140 million was invested in supporting the country's girls and women's shelters. But as of year-end, no such money was budgeted, says Lööf.

- Around the country's girl and women's journeys, people have been aware that it would be zero, so I think many feel great relief that the basic funding of 100 million will remain until 2022.

More support is needed

The investment is part of the government's budget for 2020, which will be presented shortly. But Annie Lööf believes that more money will be needed in the future.

- Girl and women's shelters are a haven for abused women and children who have lived under terrible conditions, and they should be able to focus on the vulnerable, not on the financial concerns. This enables them to continue their invaluable work.
