The dispute between the Jordanian government and the Teachers Syndicate escalated after teachers were prevented from holding a sit-in near the Prime Minister's House at the Fourth Circle in Amman last Thursday, and more than 50 teachers were arrested by the security services.

In response to the brutal security response to the teachers' sit-in, the union decided to launch an open-ended strike on education and hold accountable those who attacked the teachers.

The increase is related to performance

Al-Budoor said in an interview with Al-Jazeera Net that the Teachers' Union had adhered to during the meeting, which was collected by the government at the Ministry of Education on Saturday, a 50% premium.

The union showed several videos and photos showing security forces attacking teachers during the vigil Thursday.

The Jordanian government reiterated its request to the Syndicate Council to provide it with all cases of assaults against teachers during the sit-in organized by the Syndicate on Thursday.

The government confirmed in another statement that if it receives any documented abuses submitted by the Teachers' Union, it will open an investigation in all transparency and seriousness, so that the results of the investigation will be announced immediately upon completion.
