The league mainly stole bags from tourists during breakfasts, and the police soon noticed that the same people appeared on several surveillance films.
After an assault on an apartment in Sollentuna, the police arrested an unspecified number of people, both men and women. At the house search, lots of bags, cell phones, money and other theft were found.
“It's just a small part of everything the league has really handled. We are sure that lots of theft goods have already been sold or shipped abroad, ”says Daniel Almskog Sundel, investigator at the police unit for international crime networks, according to the police website.
The league is suspected to have committed at least 30 cases of serious theft in several different regions in Sweden.
