A strong headwind of 17 knots blew this evening on the ninth of October 2018, and according to the Swedish Accident Investigation Board's final report, the flight offer occurred because the two pilots on board lacked complete training regarding the tailwind landing with the aircraft model concerned. This is stated by Siren News Agency.

Commercial cargo flight

The flight started on the ninth of October from an airport in Poland with the destination Trollhättan / Vänersborg airport in Sweden. The flight was a commercial cargo flight and there were two pilots and a technician on board.

The pilots did not report the incident themselves, but it was airport staff who, during a routine weekly check, two days later discovered a damaged bank light and tire track.

It was also noted that there were tire tracks on the track that continued into the grass past the bank light and back onto the track.

The track width was measured to 4.1 meters and the only aircraft with the wheel track width that had been at the airport in recent days was this particular aircraft.
