The gunfire alarm came at 9am on Friday morning. One person is shot at Kungsholmen in central Stockholm.

"The shootings have taken place indoors and we have an ongoing effort," says Anna Westberg at the police command center.

Several police patrols and ambulances are on site at Norr Mälarstrand. A witness states for SVT's reporter at the scene that they have seen a person lying injured on the ground who was then taken away by ambulance. According to police, the injury situation is unclear to the injured person.

The crime scene is blocked off and the event is classified as attempted murder or murder.

Shotgun alarm

- We are now doing door knocking and will do a technical examination. We are now working to try to apprehend the perpetrator or persons, ”says Anna Westberg.

Are there any witnesses?

- What we have now is calls that came in at nine o'clock when people heard gunshots, and pretty soon we were able to find that there was one person injured.

A woman working in an office nearby tells us what it looked like when she came to the place.

- When I came to work there were fences and police and ambulances. I went and sat down in a cafe because I didn't get to work, says the woman who wants to be anonymous.
