Korean president's side Cho Guk-Ku willing to take office at the hearing September 6th 11:10

A hearing was started at around 10:00 am on the 6th in the Korean parliament over Mr. Cho Guk, the president of Korea ’s President Moon Jae-in who announced that he would be appointed as the Minister of Justice. Cho said at the beginning, “I want to do my best if I have the opportunity” and am willing to take up the role of the Minister of Justice, and to what extent the opposition side can pursue a series of suspicions.

There are various suspicions about Cho Guk, the president of Korea's President Moon Jae-in, who announced that he will be appointed as a new minister, such as illegal enrollment of his daughter at a prestigious university and uncertain investment in the whole family.

At the National Assembly Committee, a hearing to verify whether Cho was appropriate as a minister started at 10:00 am on the 6th.

At the beginning of the hearing, Cho apologized for the confusion and said, “I want to do my best if I have the opportunity” and expressed my willingness to take up the position of the Minister of Justice.

Cho will answer questions from 17 members of the ruling and opposition parties, and will again appeal to innocence without denying a series of suspicions.

The hearing will be attended by witnesses, and the focus will be on how far the opposition can pursue suspicion.
