It was in the fall of 2008 that the two men disappeared, at intervals of a week. Both had debts and both were active in the construction industry.

According to the scarce information available, the men are believed to have been removed at night from their homes.

The case has eluded the police ever since and a number of tips and traces over the years have proven to be false, or insufficient.

Now the police have received a new tip, which P4 West was the first to report. According to the tip, the boats' bodies have been dumped in Dalsland.

- Unfortunately, the tip is vague. It is a very large area so it is not just going and looking, says Sten-Rune Timmersjö, head of the Crime Unit at the police in Fyrbodal.

Thinking to go to the bottom

Despite the difficulty, the police will do everything possible to call the place, it may be relevant to search with corpses in the future.

- But before it is paid, we must succeed in limiting the search area.

How serious are you at the tip?

- We take it seriously, even though it comes from an anonymous tipster. We will go to the bottom with it as far as it can go, says Sten-Rune Timmersjö.
