This comes at a time when the African Union lifted, yesterday, the suspension of Sudan's membership of the African Organization, after the Union welcomed the formation of the new government in Sudan, describing it as the beginning of a new era and historic achievement.

African Union Commission Chairman Moussa Faki said in a tweet on Twitter that the announcement of the formation of the new government in Sudan and the appointment of the first female foreign minister (Asmaa Mohamed Abdullah) in the country marked the beginning of a new era.
