British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he prefers to "die in a hole" over a request to postpone the Brexit, reiterating that the UK should leave the European Union on October 31 and reiterated its call for early legislative elections.

"We have to get out of the European Union on October 31," he told Yorkshire police. The deputies approved a bill that would force it to ask Brussels to postpone the Brexit by three months if no exit agreement was reached.

The prime minister is betting on a general election that could give him the majority lost by a parliament. "There is only one way for our country," he said.

The government will submit a memorandum on the holding of these elections to be voted by the House of Commons on Monday before the suspension of its work, and must be approved by two-thirds of the votes for approval. It was Johnson's second attempt at early elections after lawmakers on Wednesday rejected a government memorandum to hold the election in mid-October.

But conditions have since changed. The opposition Labor Party may vote in favor of the election if it passes the Brexit bill, as it seeks to avoid a deal without agreement.

In addition to the slap in parliament, Johnson reports that his brother Joe, who supported the UK staying in the EU during the 2016 referendum, resigned from the government, confirming on Twitter that he was offering "national loyalty" over "family loyalty."

Joe Johnson is the 23rd MP who quits the Conservative Party in three days, in a new blow to the prime minister.
