National Police agents have arrested a 32-year-old man for allegedly leaving his three-year-old son alone in a well-known hotel located between Albufereta and San Juan Beach in Alicante for about seven hours on the night of last Tuesday , as reported by police sources.

The events occurred last Tuesday around twelve o'clock at night, when some clients saw the naked child wandering around the hotel car park and communicated it to the reception. The hotel subsequently informed the National Police that it was verified that the father was not in the hotel room and that there was no information about his whereabouts.

The members of the National Police transferred the minor for a review to the General Hospital of Alicante , as stipulated in these cases. The little boy entered about 5.00 a.m. in the Provincial Home under the tutelage of the Generalitat Valenciana.

The father, upon arriving at the hotel around 7.30 in the morning and not finding the child in the room, contacted the Local Police of Alicante, who referred him to the National.

It was then, when he traveled to the Provincial Police Station, where he was arrested for an alleged crime of abandonment of a minor and brought to justice . The man was allegedly affected by having consumed alcoholic beverages , sources close to the case have indicated.
