- I think she is sincere about her message, but in recent years the work has gone against her ethical compass - which I also believe plays into. She has been quietly critical of Sweden's arms dealings with Saudi Arabia, and she has also been critical of Sweden's decision not to sign the UN Convention on Nuclear Weapons, she says.

How will she be remembered?

- She will be remembered for the doctrine of feminist foreign policy. An expression that has since been adopted by France and Canada. She will also be remembered for joining Sweden in the UN Security Council, despite all the criticism that arose around the campaign.

Who do you think will take over the post of Foreign Minister?

- I actually don't know. But the post of Foreign Minister is among the finest positions one can hold, it should not be difficult to find someone who wants to take over that post, says Erika Bjerström.
