“During the meeting, important issues of military-political cooperation between Ukraine and the United States were discussed ... the possibility of expanding comprehensive support for Ukraine in the fields of security and defense,” the NSDC press service said.

In addition, the parties discussed the situation in the Central and Eastern region, the strengthening of sanctions pressure on Russia, as well as possible threats to the implementation of Nord Stream-2.

“Without a doubt, this is another trap from the hybrid instrumentation of Russia, which threatens the energy security of the whole of Europe,” Danilyuk quoted the agency.

Earlier, US senators called on the White House to maintain the provision of military support to Ukraine.

In late August, Politico reported that US President Donald Trump demanded a review of the appropriateness of military assistance to Ukraine.
