The ministry indicated that they perceive the statements of Dodik as an expression of his own vision of the situation.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry sent a protest note to the country anyway.

Earlier, Dodik said in an interview that Crimea is part of Russia.

In August, President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, speaking in the Verkhovna Rada, said that one of the main tasks of the Ukrainian parliament is the “return of Crimea” to Ukraine.

Crimea became the Russian region after a referendum held in March 2014, in which the majority of the inhabitants of the peninsula called for reunification with Russia.
