“The law has been developed, we really hope that if it is actively going now, then it will be considered and adopted in the near future. I don’t know whether or not there is a certain priority in this session, but we would like it to be accepted within a year, ”Skvortsova said.
In late March, the Ministry of Health prepared a draft ban on the sale of alcohol products with a strength of more than 16.5% to persons under 21 years of age. As planned, the law will enter into force in January 2020.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade called it appropriate the idea of banning the sale of strong alcohol, noting that all measures by the Ministry of Health to reduce alcohol consumption should be balanced.
