The Spanish newspaper "El Pais" revealed a secret clause in the contract of Argentine star Lionel Messi with Barcelona.
Messi has signed five contracts since 2005 with Barca, but in the last contract in 2017, when he extended his contract with the Blaugrana until 2021, a clause was added allowing him to leave the team at the end of any season he wants.
The paper said there was an agreement between the two sides, meaning that he could leave the team on June 30 each year.
The deal is based on Messi's loyalty to the Catalan club and when the Argentine wizard decides to activate the deal, he is free to leave Camp Nou.
According to the program "Carousel Deportivo", Messi can activate this option if he wants to leave Barcelona to a club outside Europe, which means that a specially made condition for his return to his country and the realization of his wish to play one day for the team "New Old Boys" Argentina.
