It was at 09.20 that the accident occurred, on County Road 920 in the municipality of Tanum. According to SOS Alarm, both the ambulance, rescue service and police are called to the scene.
The police first announced that the horse was severely injured, shortly after they announced that the horse had died.
- It was so badly damaged that a hunter was forced to kill it, it is still unclear how it is with the person on the horse, says Christer Fuxborg, the police spokesperson in the West.
The rescue service announces that the road will be closed for about an hour.
