The men who are 20 years of age and resident in Västra Mälardalen have beaten a man of 35 years of age on Sveavägen in Köping. The man was stabbed several times with a knife and received life-threatening injuries.
The case went to trial and in Västmanland District Court the men sentenced to three and a half years in prison for gross abuse.
An assessment that changed when Svea Hovrett in July sharpened the sentence and sentenced the men to seven years in prison. The men appealed the judgment to the Supreme Court.
HD only reviews targets that may be indicative of future cases, or targets where there are particular reasons to go through the case again. As for the abuse in Köping, they announce this week that there is no reason to try the case.
