“At the end of September, the main package of documents will be ready, and after that we need very little time to plan the departure date - it will be agreed with the Iraqi authorities in order to understand and coordinate our actions,” RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.

Kuznetsova clarified that the exact date of departure has not yet been determined and will be clear after the completion of the formation of the main package of documents for the export of children to Russia.

“We will not name the exact date, but the end of September, the very last days of the month, is the formation of a package of documents, further decisions on the departure in the coming days can be made in agreement with Iraq,” she said.

In August, Kuznetsova expressed the hope that the last group of 30 Russian children would be returned to their homeland by the end of September.

According to her, from December 2018 to April 2019, more than 50 children who were in Iraq and Syria were returned to Russia.
