Los Pujol: seven years of provisional freedom plagued by incumbents and unjustified money
Harassed by the corruption scandal of his family, Jordi Pujol lives semi-recluded in his apartment in Barcelona, where he rarely leaves. One of them occurred on Wednesday, day 4, when the honorable molt former president of the Generalitat attended a meal organized by the partner club Las Alforjas in the elite Equestrian Circle of Barcelona, where he provided for the King and the Constitution.
Invited by Dr. Ramón Soriano , his presence, however, was not liked by all attendees, about thirty partners, including lawyers, engineers, doctors, a nationalist journalist and Father Apeles . Some even expressed their desire to unsubscribe.
Pujol put as a condition to attend lunch not to be asked about any judicial issue, but did not avoid other issues. Throughout the meal the former president acknowledged that he is not a happy man and expressed his desire to be buried with a senyera and the stelae . "He looked like a sunken man, defeated," says one of the lunch attendants.
Pujol showed his admiration for Spain - "I have always admired her," he declared - and did not hesitate to toast for the King and the Constitution, joining the rest of the audience when Soriano proposed it.
