Recently, the environmental association Blekinge West has received several reports of intrusive flies in Listerlandet.

- The residents have experienced it as very difficult, they have had extremely many flies. They have not been able to sit and have a drink, because then there are directly 10 flies in the glass, says Per-Ola Persson, environmental inspector at the Environmental Association Blekinge West.

What the flight invasion is is unclear, but Per-Ola Persson suspects that it has links to the nearby mink farms. Therefore, they are now taking action against the farms.

- We run inspections on most of the mink farms that are nearby. If there are shortcomings, we demand that they rectify it immediately.

Is there anything they can do to get rid of the flies?

- Actually, there is no way to get rid of them, other than setting up sticky traps to catch them.
