In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, opposition parliamentary groups are meeting this Thursday, September 5 to decide whether or not they will participate in the government's inaugural vote tomorrow. They dispute the way in which the procedure has taken place so far.

The document read Tuesday by Prime Minister Sylvestre Ilunga Ilunkamba was not the one handed to the National Assembly. Lamuka, the opposition political platform, continues to denounce the fact that the new coalition Cach-FCC does not respect the game of institutions and seeks to go into force.

For Chérubin Okende, spokesman for the Lamuka coalition, the head of the government remained far too vague in his general policy speech : " We would like to hope to have a well-structured program, with benchmarks, with even a chronogram, it has to be good, even precise indicators. We must not remain in a string of good intentions. This is not serious. We are thinking about how to tell our story because the Congolese people today need to hear it. Not to be in the room is to give them an opportunity to strut about as if they had the truth of the Republic on their side. It is absolutely necessary, from my point of view, that we can vote against this so that the Prime Minister knows that he has not unanimously agreed on his program of government. "

On the other side of the spectrum, among the parliamentary groups linked to power, some expect the Prime Minister to review his copy and give more details on the program with figures and more. This is in any case the opinion of Juneval Mounoubo, deputy of the UNC and chief of staff Vital Kamerhe.

" Prime Minister Sylvestre Ilunga, in presenting his program, told us of his political intentions. These are good political intentions, but that's not enough. It is necessary to set objectives, priorities in the short, medium and long term. We need indicators that will allow us to track and evaluate performance, and we must also indicate how ambitions or intentions will be financed. Because there are internal resources, that is to say the budget for example. How will he fight effectively against the pouring of revenue and external resources? How will it be done? What are the major partners of the Congo? It is true that he spoke about the IMF , but in general, we do not have a general view of those who will intervene to complete the Congolese budget. So our fear is that we approve a program, but we do not know exactly how it will materialize. We do not want to sell dreams to the people. This is our coalition so we stand together. We will approve, of course, there is no doubt about it, but we want to approve this program by means of enrichments, by means of the amendments to this Ilunga government program. "

The new government should be submitted to the approval of the deputies this Friday.
