This was reported by Interfax-Ukraine with reference to the press release of the company.

“At the TIS terminal (Odessa region), the unloading of the W-Ace bulk carrier has already begun, after which coal will go to DTEK Energo thermal power plants,” the agency said.

As DTEK Energo CEO Dmitry Sakharuka noted, to date, the company has already contracted 388 thousand tons of coal from abroad.

Earlier, the head of the Independent Trade Union of Miners of Ukraine Mikhail Volynets said that the wage arrears of Ukrainian miners exceeds 800 million hryvnia.

Due to debts in August, workers at the Ukrainian mines Kurakhovskaya and Ukraine blocked the road, demanding that they pay the money they had put. For the same reason, the miners of the Kapitalnaya mine refused to work in the same month.

Against the backdrop of these events, Volynets also said that the Gornaya mine in the Luhansk region is operating in emergency mode and is at risk of flooding due to a lack of electricity.
