• Ruby case, Imane Fadil dead. Pm opens an investigation

March 16, 2019 "I'm sorry that someone young always dies. I never knew this person and I never talked to her." Thus the leader of Forza Italia, Silvio Berlusconi, responded today to Melfi (Potenza) to those who asked him for a comment on the death of Imane Fadil, a witness in the so-called Ruby trial. "What I read of his statements - added Berlusconi - always made me think that they were all invented and absurd".

It is yellow in the meantime on the death of Imane Fadil - which occurred on March 1 - that would have been caused by some journalistic indiscretions by "a mix of radioactive substances". But the Poison Center of the Irccs Maugeri of Pavia, which dealt with the case, "does not identify radionuclides and does not perform radioactivity measurements". And he points out that the toxicological counseling requested by the clinic where Fadil was admitted concerned "the metering of metals". The clarification comes from Carlo Locatelli, director of the Poison Control Center.

From what we learn, the woman was admitted to the Humanitas of Rozzano for a very serious bone marrow dysfunction which had stopped producing white, red and platelet cells. The doctors, in looking for the causes of this severe bone marrow aplasia, had also thought of a tumor, then excluded. Now the autopsy should clarify what attacked the marrow and then the vital organs, leading, within a month, to death.

Pm: Symptoms "are compatible with poisoning"
The investigation by the Milan public prosecutor on the model's death is therefore focusing on the presence of some metals in the blood samples taken at the 34-year-old. To determine the causes of death, we will have to wait for the results of the autopsy scheduled for Wednesday or Thursday. However, the symptoms, such as the absence of white blood cells which required many transfusions and the compromised liver, are "compatible with poisoning" for the pm.

Only a dozen days before his death, the model, one of the key witnesses to the Ruby case trial, had revealed to the doctors at Humanitas, where she had been hospitalized in serious condition since January 29, that she feared she had been poisoned. The Milan prosecutor announced that an investigation has been opened - from the day of his death - for voluntary homicide. I pm meanwhile have listened to the doctors of Humanitas is from what has been learned, the 34 year old turned out negative to the tests that had been carried out in order to understand if made use of drugs.

Imane's friends: "It seemed we had a nervous breakdown"
"It seemed we had a nervous breakdown." So some friends and the people who were closer to her in the last period tell of how badly Imane was. They could not have known, however, that those strong pains that were consuming her were not due to a nervous breakdown or to a psychic problem but, as she was instead repeating, to a poisoning.

The suspicion of a psychological-depressive type of discomfort some of his friends and acquaintances had also attributed it to the fact that in the middle of January, two weeks before being admitted, she had been excluded as a civil party from the 'Ruby ter' trial of Berlusconi and others. Instead, a process in which she presented herself at all the hearings and indeed, on every occasion, reiterated that there seemed to be no willingness to do so, because it never started in fact (it is still at the stage of preliminary questions).

From January 14th Imane excluded from the main strand of the trial
On January 14, Imane and the other two super witnesses of Rubygate - Chiara Danese and Ambra Battilana - had been excluded from the main line of the trial that sees Silvio Berlusconi and 27 other people, including the same young Moroccan, investigated for corruption in judicial proceedings and false testimony. Leaving the Court, the model had vented and had said "having paid more than all for telling the truth" about those risqué parties. A truth that he had written down in a book he was about to publish.

He felt sick at a friend's house
All projects that a few days later would be blurred forever. Imane felt ill at the home of a friend with whom she lived in the last days of January and on the 29th she was hospitalized "in serious condition" at the Humanitas in Rozzano. However, as the days went by, it did not recover. "She was lucid, although very suffering," said her lawyer, Paolo Sevesi, who went to visit her often at the hospital. Just him and the model's brother, who in the last period had collected his outbursts, last week decided to go to the public prosecutor's office to tell everything. From the Humanitas, on the other hand, for the entire period of the model's "ordeal" no report would be sent to the judiciary.

Documented documentation at Humanitas
The hospital made it known that “on the death of the patient, on 1 March, the judicial authority ordered the seizure of all the clinical documentation and the body. On March 6, Humanitas had the toxicological results of the investigations requested, promptly communicated it to the investigators ".
