The head of the Pentagon intends to visit the UK on August 6

This was announced on his Twitter page by the US ambassador to Britain, Woody Johnson.

"The head of the Pentagon, Esper will leave for London on Friday (August 6 - RT) to meet with senior British officials," he said.

Johnson also added that Britain and the United States are very closely cooperating in the field of security.

Esper previously accused China of undermining the stability of the Indo-Pacific region.
