The police in Ånge went out and were looking for tips that the couple with the many dogs had left from their property in Ånge municipality. They were assumed to have departed to escape the county administrative board's announced inspection in the next few days.

Puppies on the road

After several hours of searching, the cops saw two small puppies walking on a remote forest road.

"Then we realized that we were on the right track," says Daniel Dübbel, Ånge police.

Soon they arrived at the caravans where both the dog owners and many dogs were present. The dog owners stated that there were about 30 dogs there. After checking it turned out to be no less than 65 dogs.

Poor condition

- We looked into the caravans, there were dogs all over the stool, neglected. One bitch had day-fresh puppies.

Since the dogs were in Hälsingland, the county administrative board in Gävleborg was contacted who sent transport and picked up the dogs, at least two dogs killed because they were in such poor condition.

-It feels nice that we found them, but at the same time it doesn't feel good that the dogs are doing badly, it was terrible, says Daniel Dübbel.
