The “National and Regional Dispute Settlement Committee”, which mediates disputes between the national and local governments, said the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications's decision to exclude Osaka Izumisano City from the new Furusato tax payment system on the 2nd. In the document, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications pointed out that Izumisano City was excluded as “it does not serve as a basis for exclusion,” while the response of Izumisano City also criticized that “the existence of the system was in danger.”
The recommendation calls on the Minister of Internal Affairs and Communications to notify Izumisano City of the results of the review within 30 days, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications decides whether to continue the exclusion or to accept participation.
