Hong Kong (AFP) Hong Kong's Prime Minister Carrie Lam definitively withdraws the controversial extradition law, according to one MEP. "It is confirmed that the law will be withdrawn," MP Felix Chung told AFP news agency Wednesday after meeting Lams with him and other pro-government politicians. The submission of the heavily controversial law on deliveries to mainland China has triggered violent mass protests that have been going on in the Chinese Special Administrative Region for the past three months.
