The suspect of the murder of his companion in Cagnes-sur-Mer had already been the subject of a complaint for domestic violence, filed by a former girlfriend.

The young man indicted for the murder in Cagnes-sur-Mer of his companion had already been targeted by a complaint for violence filed by an ex-girlfriend in 2016 and dismissed for lack of support, said Wednesday the prosecutor of Grasse. "This former girlfriend, minor at the time of the facts, had lodged a complaint with the police station of Antibes by indicating to have received a slap and then that Amina would have tried, by binding her wrists and feet, to throw it in a bathtub because that she was likely to have deceived, "said the prosecutor.

"Insubstantially characterized", this complaint filed several months after the allegations had been dismissed, the magistrate said, adding that the victim had refused a confrontation with the suspect. He himself had denied the facts, asserting instead that it was his girlfriend who, jealous, harassed him.

Two other complaints filed by the suspect's own mother

The prosecutor also reported a handbook filed by the mother of this minor girl explaining that Amin "involuntarily pushed" his daughter on a railway. Two other complaints also targeted the young man in 2017 and 2018, filed by Amin's own mother. The latter had first reported threats from his son wanting to force him to leave home "so that he can have relations with his girlfriends," said the magistrate - a complaint finally withdrawn-- and then violence on ascending, but without medical certificate. This last complaint had been closed.

The prosecutor also indicated that the suspect, indicted on Tuesday night for aggravated murder (by concubine), for which he incurs life imprisonment, and placed in custody, constantly denied during his custody to seeing the facts of violence against his companion Salome, simply recognizing a dispute between them. According to the testimony of a former Salomé employer collected by AFP, the young man did not want Salome to work, suspecting her of cheating on him with another employee.

An autopsy must be performed Wednesday to determine the exact causes of the death of the latter, the victim carrying "many traces of violence including the face but also a trace of strangulation."
