13 July 2019He ingested 100 heroin eggs, then boarded a scheduled flight and from Ethiopia, this morning at dawn, arrived at Fiumicino's "Leonardo da Vinci" airport. And it is here that a 34-year-old Nigerian citizen was arrested by the carabinieri of the Aeroporti di Roma company, at the end of checks at the terminals, with accusations of illegal drug production, trafficking and detention.

The foreigner was noticed by the military for his visibly nervous attitude taken after the documents were checked and was then taken to the emergency room of the "Grassi" hospital in Ostia to undergo extensive radiographic examinations. Thus it was found that the Nigerian had ingested an unknown number of eggs. In order to allow him to evacuate them completely, given their danger, he was kept in the hospital.

At the end of the activities, the Carabinieri were able to ascertain that the man had ingested 100 total ovules containing heroin, for a total weight exceeding 1200 grams. The arrestor was then discharged and taken to the Civitavecchia district house, available to the Judicial Authority.
