The thriller "The Fall of the President" has managed to retain its first place in the North American box office after a weekend of four days, said Tuesday the company specialized Exhibitor Relations.

Ric Roman Waugh's feature film with US President Gerard Butler's bodyguard (Morgan Freeman) raised $ 15.4 million on Friday, Monday, a holiday in the United States and Canada, and $ 44.5 million since its release ten days earlier.

In this third installment of the adventures of Mike Banning - after "The Fall of the White House" (2013) and "The Fall of London" (2016) - the latter is found accused of being the brain of an assassination attempt against his boss.

"Good Boys" is just behind, with $ 12.2 million pocketed in four days. Three weeks after its release, this film that heats, twenty years later, the recipe for "American Pie", won $ 59.2 million.

"The Lion King" closes the podium and nibbles two places compared to last week. The Disney film earned $ 9.3 million in four days and $ 523.6 million in seven weeks in North American theaters.

"Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw", the latest installment of the popular franchise of racing cars and big muscle remains fourth, with $ 8.4 million in revenue from Friday to Monday (159.2 million since its release five weeks ago).

Heavy fall for "Overcomer", which goes from third to fifth place. This Christian film directed by Alex Kendrick, who also stars, has collected $ 7.8 million, 19.3 million in two weeks. When a basketball coach at an American high school becomes a cross-country coach and his or her only athlete is a girl with asthma, the challenge is huge. And the film full of good feelings.
