The municipal primary school with 164 pupils, from preschool class up to grade three is divided into eight classes, but there are only six classrooms. Group rooms have become permanent classrooms and staff rooms, corridors and halls are utilized to the maximum.

- There are no rooms for the curator and school nurse, they can sit in the dining room or look for something currently vacant and we have our spare time in the staff toilet at leisure, says the safety representative for the Teachers' Union, Henrik Löfling.

Students are denied starting

As of August, the Rector, Per Dahlström, has decided to suspend admission because of the local shortage. A student has already been denied a place.

- It's a disaster. It's not fun in any way. Lönnbergsskolan is a very good school with high quality and good educators and I want the children to have good opportunities so it is sad that the premises should put a limit on bringing in more children, says Per Dahlström.

The staff is feeling bad

In the notification to the Swedish Work Environment Authority, the safety representative writes that the patience and perseverance of the staff has been challenged for a long time. Several teachers are on sick leave due to work environment problems due to the congestion.

The municipality is aware of the problems, but the municipal council Ola Wigg (S) does not believe in a short-term solution.
