In detail, Abu Dhabi Police yesterday launched an awareness campaign entitled “Safety Trail” to spread awareness and promote positive behaviors for drivers and pedestrians in five languages within the Abu Dhabi Strategic Road Safety Plan and the strategic priority in making roads safer, focusing on educating drivers and educating them on the positive behaviors to be followed. He said the campaign highlights the negative behaviors committed by some drivers, clarifying the seriousness of these behaviors on traffic safety, raising awareness and developing the traffic culture among the public, and establishing commitment to the traffic law, and activating the role of community partnership.
The campaign aims to enhance the safety of road users, modify negative behaviors into positive behaviors, activate the role of community partnership in raising awareness, and promote public awareness of positive behaviors to be followed and adhered to.
The campaign includes eight axes, identified through the analysis of traffic accidents and violations, as part of efforts to achieve the highest levels of traffic safety, through the implementation of a comprehensive program to assess the behavior of drivers.
