The Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department has launched a video conferencing service for the detainees (video conferencing) between the execution judges and the detainees, without the need to personally attend the courts, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council.

The launch of the service was made through the use of videoconference conversation between His Excellency Counselor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, Head of Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department, and Major General Ali Abdullah Bin Alwan Al Nuaimi, Commander in Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Advisor Ahmed Al Khatri said that the video call service launched in cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah Police comes with the aim of speeding up the decision of the detainees, avoiding the trouble of moving to the courts department, and delaying their presentation before the judges, especially with the availability of judicial services in the evening period and saving time, effort and security precautions. The Police Department is keen on speeding up the completion of work procedures, as the Courts Department is keen to employ modern digital systems in its procedures in line with the strategic directions of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah.

Al-Khatri said that the halls were equipped for immediate viewing between the detainees at the General Command of Ras Al-Khaimah Police and the judges of the execution in the courts.
