The Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department has launched a video-conferencing service (Video Conferencing) between execution judges and detainees, without the need to personally attend the courts, in accordance with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah and Chairman of the Judicial Council.

The launch of the service was made through the use of a video call conversation, which was conducted between the head of Ras Al Khaimah Courts Department, Counselor Ahmed Mohammed Al Khatri, and the Commander in Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Major General Ali Abdullah bin Alwan Al Nuaimi.

Al-Khatri said that the video call service, which was launched in cooperation with Ras Al Khaimah Police, aims at speeding up the decision of the detainees, avoiding the trouble of moving to the courts and delaying their presentation before the judges, especially with the availability of judicial services in the evening period and saving time, effort and security precautions. The Police Department is keen to employ modern digital systems in accordance with the strategic directions of the Government of Ras Al Khaimah.
