Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu welcomed remarks by the foreign ministers of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) who condemned Hezbollah's aggression after bombing an Israeli military base near the border with Lebanon.

Speaking at the start of his weekly cabinet meeting, Netanyahu said the foreign ministers of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates also condemned the inability of the Lebanese state to allow a terrorist organization such as Hezbollah to operate from within its territory against Israel.

He added that this demonstrates a fundamental change taking place in the Middle East, where the Arab world is also beginning to realize that "Iranian aggression" is dangerous for the whole region.

He called "other countries" to stand against the aggression of Iran and its dependencies, as he put it. Netanyahu paid special thanks to US President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo for their decision to remove the bank, which supplies Hizbollah with money, and put it on the sanctions list.

Netanyahu has identified three central objectives for his army and security forces: preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear capabilities, preventing it from supplying its “dependents”, especially Hezbollah, and others with precision weapons that pose a threat to Israel, and preventing Tehran and its followers from stationing close to the border with Israel.

The Prime Minister of the Israeli government revealed efforts to hold a tripartite meeting with the participation of the United States and Russia in Jerusalem, similar to the meeting of the national security advisors of the three countries hosted by Israel last June.
