It was early Tuesday morning that the emergency services were alerted about the villa fire in Edsbyn. The woman was in the house with six children.
A ten year old jumped down from the house and managed to set up a ladder towards the house. There the mother could climb up and down with the rest of the children.
- She has gone in several times to fetch the children and suffered severe burns, says intervention manager Pär Palm.
The woman was taken to hospital for care. In a communication, the Academic Hospital in Uppsala announced that the woman is being cared for with life-threatening injuries.
