The prosecutor suspects that, as in his 20s, the man either stole the wheel loaders or was somehow involved in an attempt to transport them to another country.

GPS transmitters solved crime

The wheel loaders were stolen in early August at a construction site in Lekeryd outside Huskvarna. Due to the fact that one of the wheel loaders was equipped with a GPS transmitter, the owner was able to see where they were and alert police who, with the help of the GPS signal, could follow a truck on which the stolen vehicles were loaded.

At the level of Helsingborg, the police were able to stop the car and the man was arrested.

The man now charged with serious theft denies the crime.
