03 September 2019The Court of Accounts of Umbria has opened a file on the reconstruction after the 2016 earthquake. The investigations of the regional prosecutor's office are aimed at ascertaining any 'public damages' for the failed or late start of the reconstruction following the earthquake that struck the Valnerina in 2016 and for the failure to adopt the reconstruction plan. The inquiry launched by the prosecutor's office of the Court of Accounts of Umbria on post-earthquake reconstruction is in the preliminary investigation phase. The content is kept strictly confidential, but already in recent months the prosecutor Antonio Giuseppone, at the inauguration of the judicial year of the accounting magistracy, said he was "worried about the delays in the reconstruction, which is struggling to take off". The investigations are likely to be the result of reports from citizens and committees in the earthquake zones.

Assignment of assignments
Meanwhile, there are new developments regarding the reconstruction. The special Umbria reconstruction office communicates that the owners whose houses have suffered minor damage following the earthquake of 2016 must, by 30 September, communicate the entrustment of the assignment to the professional. On 31 December 2019, the deadline for submitting the application for assistance expires, extended by order no. 81 of June 27, 2018. By September 30, 2019, therefore, the subjects entitled to submit a request for assistance for the interventions of immediate execution must transmit through Pec to the Special Commissioner and to the Deputy Commissioners, the assignment of the assignment to the professional for the presentation of the practice relative to the interventions of immediate execution. Failure to comply with the aforementioned deadline for the submission of the application and the methods for presenting it - underlines the special Umbria reconstruction office - determines the inadmissibility of the contribution request and, only in cases of non-compliance with the deadlines set by the previous periods, also the forfeiture of the contribution for autonomous accommodation possibly received by the interested party.
