Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador showed at a daily press conference a small camera he says was used to spy on him, refusing to scan at his office to make sure he was unattended.

"There is no paranoia," Obrador told reporters on Tuesday after showing them what appeared to be a graphics card with a data processor and a camera, adding he would not file a complaint because he had nothing to hide, according to Bloomberg News.

"Those who fight for justice have nothing to fear," he said. "It's just that some people are still keeping their bad habits and spying."

He added that the camera was found in the dining room used for meetings with governors and business leaders at the National Presidential Palace, adding that the cleaning team found it by chance.

The Mexican president said he had drawn his attention to the small size of the camera. Obrado did not say who might have set up the camera or how long it remained in the presidential palace.
