The visit of the Russian leader is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Soviet and Mongolian troops in the battle with Japanese troops on Khalkhin Gol.

According to Interfax, during the visit, the Russian president will hold talks with the president of Mongolia, Khaltmaagii Battulga.

He will also meet with the chairman of the great state Khural of Mongolia, Gombozhavyn Zandanshatar, and the country's prime minister, Ukhnaagi Khurelsuh.

Earlier, Putin said that relations between Russia and Mongolia will reach a new level after signing an indefinite agreement on friendly relations and a comprehensive strategic partnership.
