It was at 19.06 that rescue services were alerted about smoke odors in a villa on Hyttfallsvägen in Karlskoga after a lightning strike.

- The lightning struck in a stone wall in a slope by the house, looked down into the ground and knocked out the house's electrical system. It resulted in burned power lines and contacts, but no fire occurred, says Daniel Morello, force leader at Berglagen's rescue service.

The emergency services checked with a thermal camera that no fire could occur in the house's structures after the knockdown.

- It was a real bang, but no injuries except for one woman's ear hurt in the house. Eljouren got there before we left the place to work on repairing the plant, says Daniel Morello.
