Although it did not become as extreme as last year's drought, the summer of 2019 offered some weather beyond the ordinary.

The month of June became warm and a record high average temperature for the month was recorded at three places in Östergötland and Gotland. Norrköping with 18.1 degrees, Visby with 17.6 degrees and Gotska Sandön with 17 degrees.

There were also records of sunshine hours. In June, Hoburg in Gotland received 381 hours of sunshine, a new local record for the month.

When it comes to slightly boring holiday weather, Visby got 92 mm of rain in July. The largest rainfall since 2011.
