- The norm says that you should get out of smaller cities and move there "it happens". So you shouldn't want to be living in the city you grew up in, which I find strange, says Johanna Runevad.

She wants to change this attitude of people by highlighting everything positive with small towns. And there is a lot to show, says Johanna.

A total of eight episodes

- In a small town there is so much warmth, proximity and security. What I find so impressive about Falkenberg is that there is a strong entrepreneurial spirit. You take care of your city and its inhabitants while thinking new, she explains.

The series, which is a drama comedy, has been named Falkenberg Forever and was recorded during the summer. The result will be eight episodes that are twenty minutes long.

- This is my first big own project, Johanna says.

She has written the script before, and she has also been involved in the production of Danish Talent and Idol . However, Falkenberg Forever will be a whole new challenge. Here she tries for the first time to be an actor - and she does this by shouldering the lead role.

Local extras

- I play 30-year-old Maria who still lives with her mother in Falkenberg. She hangs out with her friends from school and is a teacher substitute at her old high school. According to herself, she lives the perfect life, says Johanna.

Just like herself, the other actors in the series have a connection to the west coast. All extras are from Falkenberg.

- I want as local connection as possible. I think the Falkenbergs will think the series is fun, different and piggy, says Johanna.

Falkenberg Forever premieres at SVT in the spring of 2020.
