- We have a situation that is completely unreasonable. We have had 195 shootings this year, ”says Kristersson at a press conference ahead of his summer speech in Strängnäs.
Kristersson states that he told Löfven that the Moderates are ready to work together to quickly prioritize resources so that they can be brought to justice. He also argued that the Moderates are willing to speed up proposals that give the police more tools to fight crime.
The moderates propose, among other things, double penalties for criminals who have committed gang-related crime, a crown witness system, a system of visitation zones and a system of stay bans where criminals are forbidden to return to their old area. The moderates also want to try out a system of anonymous witnesses and drop the penalty off for young 18-21 year olds.
