- We work a lot with what deviates. Often it is a human reaction when you know that you have done something, says Admir Smailagic, a police officer in Växjö.

But many of the checks are also done routinely in connection with, for example, speed checks. All Swedish police officers working in the field have an app installed in their phones where they can quickly dial or scan personal and registration numbers. When it comes to cars, they can tell in just a second if the car is stopped or has a driving ban.

For non-Swedish citizens, there is an advanced search where it is sufficient to enter birth data.

- In just a few seconds you will get a color mark on whether this person is in our systems or not. For example, if the person is wanted, says Admir Smailagic.

Swedish police have been using the app for a few years. Admir himself has several times been involved in finding internationally wanted.
