Hundreds of protesters have already blocked the Whitehall area - the London area of ​​government ministries and buildings - on a day marked by protests across the United Kingdom following Prime Minister Boris Johnson's request to suspend parliament for a few weeks just back on 31 October, deadline set for Brexit.

Over 30 events organized in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland under the slogan 'Stop the coup, defend democracy'. The most important gathering was in London, in front of the premier's residence, at 10 Downing Street, where the crowd armed with the EU flag sang the chorus "Boris Johnson, shame on you!".
