Three cadres of the far-right movement were sentenced Thursday to prison for an anti-migrants operation in the Alps, in 2018.

The National Gathering gave Friday its support for the three cadres of the radical Identity Generation movement sentenced the day before to prison for their anti-migrants operation in the Alps in 2018.

"If the death penalty still existed, Damien Rieu (Lefèvre, one of the executives of GI, ed) was good for the scaffold with such justice! Support to Damien Rieu, company that walks on the head," tweeted the door of the RN and Deputy of the North Sébastien Chenu.

"How not to doubt the impartiality of justice"

"How can we not doubt the impartiality of justice when young people are sentenced to prison for having carried out a PACIFIC action ?!", wondered for his part MEP Nicolas Bay who is a member, like Sebastien Chenu, from the executive bureau of the party. And to add: "Support for these activists, who only asked for the application of the law and the protection of our borders!".

I think that if the death penalty still existed @DamienRieu was good for the scaffold with such justice! Support @DamienRieu,

The Gap Criminal Court on Thursday sentenced to three months imprisonment three leaders of Generation Identity: Clément Gandelin (dit Galant), 24, its president, Romain Espino, 26, spokesman, and Damien Lefèvre (said Rieu), 29 years old, active organizer, after anti-migrant actions led in the Alps by this far-right association in the spring of 2018. The association is sentenced to the maximum fine of 75,000 euros. The three involved called this judgment "political" and announced that they would appeal.
