Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Friday that Iranian tanker Adrian Darya (formerly Grace 1), which is currently in waters in southern Turkey, is heading to Lebanon.

"This tanker is not actually heading towards Iskenderun, it is heading towards Lebanon," he told a news conference in the Norwegian capital Oslo when asked if the ship was heading for Turkey.

The site "Marine Traffic" to track the movement of ships had shown earlier in the day that the tanker, which is the focus of a confrontation between the United States and Iran has changed course again and heading to the port of Iskenderun in southeastern Turkey.

This is the fourth time the tanker has changed direction in 10 days, carrying two million barrels of oil.

Gibraltar authorities released her mid-month after she was detained for five weeks on suspicion of transporting Iranian oil to Syria in violation of EU sanctions.
