The president of Debout France, Nicolas Dupont-Aignan, who makes his political return Sunday, wants to "wake up the French who do not want to see Macron reelected in 2022" and expresses, for the presidency of the party Republicans, his support for the sovereignist Julien Aubert.

"The French do not believe in Macron the illusionist whose fine words contradict the acts, but they do not trust the opposition either," said the MP for Essonne in an interview published Friday by Le Parisien.

In his stronghold of Yerres (Essonne), the former ally of Marine Le Pen in the first round of the 2017 presidential election intends to propose Sunday "ten shock-measures" around four axes: "the increase in net wages by lowering the wage costs to reward work, the end of the assistantship to stop + + colonization + migration, the restoration of security and the relocation of jobs, the only solution to the ecological crisis ".

Mr Dupont-Aignan explains his failure in the European elections (3.51%) by the fact that "the union can not be superficial" and "must go through a serious programmatic agreement and honest personalities". The elected had removed from his list the president of the Christian Democratic Party (PCD) Jean-Frederic Poisson, accusing him of wanting to mount another list, which the person had denied.

This supporter of "the union of the rights" also expresses support for Vaucluse MP Julien Aubert in the race for the presidency of LR. Mr Aubert "tries to do what I tried to do fifteen years ago, that is to say to put an end to the double speech of the UMP on Europe" and he "has the merit of wanting clarify things, "he says.

"If he wins, I would be happy to work with him, if he loses, it would be logical for him to join us," added Mr. Dupont-Aignan.
